Chocolate Galore!

Chocolate Galore

Every girl loves chocolate. I would dare to say chocolate is easily woman’s best friend. However, this time around chocolate is here to help improve the appearance your skin.

Instead of just eating loads of chocolate, what if I told you there was a way that you could make a special treat for your skin, using one of our favorite ingredients-chocolate?

This is one of my most coveted masks as it uses three of my favorite ingredients. Before we get started making this dessert for our skin, let me simply lead you through why each ingredient is amazing for your skin and the benefits you will be able to see.

Yogurt:

Yogurt is delicious, thick and creamy but it is also a virtual treasure chest of minerals, vitamins and proteins that our skin craves. Yogurt adds enzymes and the right kind of oils to our skin, working as a natural moisturizer. It reduces the size of pores and is rich in zinc, which helps acne prone skin. Yogurt can easily be called a “refining” ingredient as is tightens and softens any type of skin.

Cocoa Powder:

Cocoa Powder is an antioxidant powerhouse that stores vital proteins that protect our skin from damage. This powder produces a calming effect that detoxifies our pores. Cocoa powder improves the texture of your skin by firming and toning which assists in the wrinkle area.

Honey:

Honey in all of its sticky glory is one of the most amazing ingredients for our skin. Honey naturally leaves the skin moisturized, making your skin supple and soft. However, honey is antibacterial which comes in handy when fighting the battle of acne and even scars caused by acne. Honey helps our skin heal faster by renewing skin cells. Keeping us looking our best.

Lets make this baby!

All you are going to need is one dessertspoon of each ingredient listed above. Combined these three items in a bowl and mix well.

Now I know you are excited about putting chocolate all over your face but first let this mask cool in the fridge before applying. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash the mask off with warm water. Another option is to exfoliate it off with sugar for an even better clean. Pat dry. Do not forget to moisturize right after washing this mask off to lock in the benefits.

You should see and feel a difference in the texture of your skin. Here is yet another reason why we can love chocolate so much. It can actually be used to benefit us, who knew you could use chocolate in more ways other than eating it?
